Dumpster Rental Terms and Conditions


Do NOT overload dumpster. Items/material must NOT be loaded higher than the top of the dumpster. Items/ material must NOT be hanging over or sticking out of the dumpster. Christensen Disposal cannot safely haul a dumpster if it is overloaded or any items or material are hanging over or sticking out. You will be responsible for offloading any excess items or material and may incur a charge of $125/hour (1/4 hour minimum) for wait time and/or a trip fee of $25-350. The driver may, at his own discretion, offload excess items/material if he deems it safe to do so. We are not responsible for the cleanup of any offloaded items/material.


Materials not accepted. Unless pre-arranged, we cannot accept tires, automotive batteries, propane tanks, liquid of any kind (paint, oil, solvent, etc.), fluorescent lightbulbs, appliances that contain, or did contain, Freon (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.), hazardous waste, medical waste, concrete, asphalt, rocks, block, brick, dirt, yard waste, tree stumps or sod. You will be responsible for offloading any unacceptable items. You may incur a charge of $125/hour (1/4 hour minimum) for wait time and/or a trip fee of up to $25-350 and/or any fines as imposed by the landfill.

Damage to dumpsters. Do NOT move the dumpster from the location of delivery. Please contact our office for relocation service, if needed. Machine loading is strongly discouraged due to the probability of damage to the dumpster. Please contact our office for authorization before machine loading. You are responsible for the cost of any repairs needed as a result of damages to the dumpster while it is in your possession.

Overweight fees. Overweight fees apply if, upon weighing in and out at the landfill, the debris in the dumpster weighs more than the tonnage included in the price quoted.

Extra rental fees. Contact our office when you are finished with the dumpster. Extra rental fees apply if the dumpster is kept longer than the number of rental days included in the price quoted.

Placement. Customer shall specify the location for placement of the dumpster. Customer will provide adequate road or driveway for driving on. This road or driveway will be free of obstruction such as tree limbs and wires. Driver will use his own discretion to determine whether the location for placement is suitable.

Removal. Customer shall provide access to the dumpster on the scheduled removal day. Do not block dumpster with vehicles, materials, tools, etc. Snow and ice must be clear. You may incur a charge of $125/hour (1/4 hour minimum) for wait time and/or a trip fee of $25-350 if the dumpster is not accessible on the date of scheduled removal.

Tailgates must be closed and latched. We cannot haul a dumpster if the tailgate is not closed and latched. The driver may attempt to close and latch an open tailgate but will not be able to if debris is blocking it. You are responsible for making sure the tailgate is closed and latched at the time of removal and may incur a charge of $125/hour (1/4 hour minimum) for wait time and/or a trip fee of up to $25-350 if we are unable to remove the dumpster on the date of scheduled removal.

Property/driveway damage. Christensen Disposal is not responsible for property damage arising from or relating to the delivery or removal of the dumpster. Upon customer’s request, Christensen Disposal will place boards under the wheels of the dumpster to protect the driveway surface.

Special materials. Dumpsters rented for a specific type of material must contain only the material specified. For instance, a dumpster rented for concrete only must be clean concrete and cannot contain any other material (trash, asphalt, dirt, brick, cinder block, etc.)

Dig out fee. A charge, as imposed by the landfill, may apply for any load that will not freely dump and requires a machine dig out. This most commonly occurs in the winter due to items/materials being frozen into the dumpster
